Board Meeting
November 15, 2007

Present: Ron Sabel, Lee Vaughn, Mike Jacobi, Lori Killian and Al Rosenthal

Meeting was called to order by Ron Sabel at 4:37 p.m.

Minutes of 10/10/07 were approved on a motion by Mike Jacobi and seconded by Lee Vaughn.

Treasurer’s Report
Balance as of 10/10/07 $1119.86
Received $60.00 Dues from Friends of White River and School Section Lake
Balance as of 11/15/07 $1179.86
Report approved on a motion by Al Rosenthal and second by Mike Jacobi.
Received dues of $30.00 from Lawrence Lake since reported balance

Status of Marquette County Lakes Association
President Sabel called a number of County Lake Associations—Silver Springs Lake, White Lake, Sandy Lake, Lake Mason and Kilby Lake.
Ron sent these lakes information on the Marquette County Lakes Association, along with a membership form.

Lake Planning Grant
Jim Neeb and Pat Kilbey will work on the grant for the Association and have it submitted by February 1, 2008.

Old Business
On October 22, 2007, Pat Kilbey received a letter from Susan Kocken of DNR stating that the Marquette County Lakes Association did not meet the standards for a “qualified lake association”.

Ron and Pat will contact Marty Havlovic and check on the points in Susan Kocken’s letter, and correspond with Ms. Kocken to clear up the matters.

New Business
None

Next Meeting: January 24, 2008 in Westfield at 4:30 p.m. If a meeting is needed to deal with the DNR letter and our qualification, it will be called by President Sabel.

Motion made by Sabel to adjourn and seconded by Vaughn at 5:25 p.m. Carried.
