Board Meeting
September 18, 2008

Meeting called to order by President Sabel at 4:33 p.m.

Present: Jim Merrill, Mike Jacobi, Ron Sabel, Lee Vaughan, Dave Casper and Al Rosenthal

Also Present: Ryan Glassmaker

Minutes were approved as printed on a motion by Jim Merrill and seconded by Dave Casper.

Treasurers Report was give by Lee Vaughan, report attached. Balance as of 9/18/08 is $1624.57. Report was approved on a motion by Mike Jacobi and seconded by Al Rosenthal

Membership Activity Report
Oxford Lake is interested in joining, and Ron will make a contact.
Kent Pfiefer is the new president of Harris Pond Lake Association.
White Lake has been contacted, but no response as of yet.

Water Level Gauges-Installation
Need to get this done this fall, losing credibility
County needs to let us know were to put the gauges at the various lakes.
Ron and Al will meet with Pat Kilbey to set a date for installation of the gauges.

Lake Burnita Meeting
Ron attended the annual meeting of Lake Burnita. The meeting went well, and they have someone who has volunteered to check the water level gauge after it has been installed.

The October meeting with Susan Tesarik, will be on the 16th of October to begin planning the 2009 Lake Fair. Ron will try to schedule the meeting for 3:30 p.m. to be held at the Westfield Office.

WAL Director Applications
Both Ron and Al have been nominated for a WAL director position. After discussion, Al will continue to pursue the nomination.

Future Lake Grants
Ron will talk to Sue Tesarik about the AIS Grant, to see if that is something that we should pursue, and would money be available to assist in the costs for the Lake Fair.
