May 6, 2010
Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Mike Jacobi in the absence of President Ron Sabel at 6:34 p.m. at the Marquette County Service Center in Montello

Board members present: Jim Merrill, Bob Krause, Mike Jacobi, Dave Casper, Lee Vaughn, Walt Brudnowski and Al Rosenthal

Also present: Pat Kilbey

Minutes of the November 12th meeting were reviewed and approved as presented.

Lee Vaughn gave the treasurers report: Previous Balance--$2058.10
Income--$70.00
New Balance--$2128.10
Treasurers report was approved.

Lake Level Monitoring
Mike Jacobi reported that 9 gauges were stalled in non dammed lakes. Mike reported on data he has received from Sharon Lake. Data is attached to minutes. Pat Kilbey said that some work still needs to be done with the gauges in order to be functional. Pat will also look at having a gauge installed at Crystal Lake.

Mike Jacobi and Julie Stagner reported on the joint sponsored Lake Fair held last June. It is hoped that the Fair will be held every other year.

It was reported that the State legislators did not act on the ground water proposed legislation.

Tom Onofrey, Marquette County zoning administrator presented a power point presentation on how Marquette County will be effected by changes to HR 115—Shoreland Zoning Ordinance.

During and after presentation much discussion followed.

It was noted that the group applauded the presentation by Tom!!!

41 people were present and represented the following lakes: Harris Lake Mill pond, Lake Mason, Twin Lakes, Buffalo Lake, Lake Puckaway, Sharon Lake, Wood Lake, Emery Lake, Comstock Lake, Williams Lake, Crystal Lake, Montello Lake, Tuttle Lake, School Section Lake, Neshkoro White River, and Lake Burnita.

Meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m. on a motion by Jim Merrill and a second by Bob Krause. Approved
