ANNUAL MEETING
September 12, 2013
6:30 p.m. Marquette County Service Center
President Ron Sabel called the meeting to order at 6:39 p.m.
Introductions were made after the pledge of allegiance
Board Members Present: Bob Krause, Mike Jacobi, Lee Vaughan, Dave Casper, Ron Sabel, John Cotter, Doug Griesbach, and Al Rosenthal
Also Present: Chris Hamerla and Tom Onofrey and 30 other members representing Marquette County Lakes.
Minutes were presented for the annual meeting of 2012, motion to approve was made by Bill Sawicki and seconded by Mary Jo Vance. Approved.
Treasurers report was presented showed a balance of $1744.13, balance sheet attached. Motion was made by Bill Lewis and seconded by Bill Sawicki to approve the report. Approved.

John Cotter on Golden Sands RC&D Council
Mike Jacobi on Central Sands Water Action Coalition
Old Business
Bill Lewis reported on the progress on Buffalo Lake. New dredge bank, spillway, gates and boat landing. The project is on schedule, with water level to go up in May of 2014
Bill Vance gave a report on the court case dealing with high pressure wells and their effect on lakes. Judge Boldt was reviewing the lakes and streams in the area of concern along with representatives of DNR, CAFO dairy in the area, and the Central Sands group supporting our lakes.
Ron Sabel reported on projects done this last year by Marquette County Lakes Association. One of the projects is the monitoring program for lake elevation in streams, which Doug Griesbach and John Cotter are volunteering to assist.
Bob Krause spoke about the problems Lake Mason is having with no weeds and mainly rough fish. The water is very cloudy, and as of now DNR is not helping.
Chris Hamerla, Marquette County and Green Lake County AIS coordinator reported on summer work in Marquette County. Report attached.
Various members asked Tom Onofrey, Marquette County Zoning, about lakeshore zoning and what Marquette has approved for lakeshore zoning.
Next meeting will be May 8th at 6:30 p.m. Possible items for discussion are shoreland buffer zones, and dredge banks. Would like to have someone from DNR present to answer questions about zoning, etc.
The next Annual Meeting will be held on September 11, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marquette County Service Center.
Meeting adjourned at 8:42 with a motion by Dave Casper and seconded by Al Rosenthal. Approved.
