Board of Directors Meeting

August 14, 2014

Board Members Present:  Lee Vaughan, Walt Brudnowski, Ron Sabel and Al Rosenthal

Also Present:  Matt Albright and Chris Hamerla

Minutes of the June 12, 2014 meeting were approved on a motion by Lee Vaughan and a second by Walt Brudnowski.  Approved.

The treasurer’s report was presented by Lee.  It showed a balance of $1958.20.  The report was approved by a motion by Al Rosenthal and a second by Ron Sabel.  Approved

 Membership…No change

New administrative assistant is Morgan Link and her hours are Mon, Tues, Friday  8:00 to 4:30; Wednesday 8:00 to 2:30 and Thursday she does not work.

REPORTS

a.  Golden Sands RC & D  ---- Al attended the meeting and reported on Emerald Ash Bore and the problems and cost of controlling the insect.  The Green Bay area RC & D is having money problems and is going to have to reduce services.  The Stevens Point RC & D is doing okay. 

b.  Central Sands Water Action Coalition--- Mike was not present, Al & Ron reported that Scott Froelke was hosting a meeting on August 22^nd.

 c.  Marquette County LWCD --- Pat was not present.  Matt reported on some work being done by the LWCD

 d.  Wisconsin Lakes ---Al reported on WL focusing on Lakeshore planning, and water quality in 2015.

 e.  AIS Coordinators Report---Chris reported that he helped with developing County Ordinances dealing with shoreland preservation, did a plant survey on Sharon Lake, and started gathering data for the next grant cycle for his position.

 Non Stock Filling Status will be placed on the Board meeting in September/October

 Contributors to the September 11^th Annual Meeting will be:  Tom Onofrey, County Zoning; Kim Gaffney, Sheriff; Chris Hamerla, AIS Coordinator; and Bob Clarke CAFO information.

 Possible projects for 2015 Would be to continue working gathering information on stream monitoring and Kids Conservation Day(possibly on Montello Lake Park)  Work with schools in the County and Golden Sands RC& D.

 Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11^th at the Marquette County Service Building at 6:30 p.m.

 Meeting Adjourned on a motion by Lee and a second by Ron at 2:41 p.m.   Approved
