Board of Directors Meeting
June 13, 2013
1:30 p.m. Marquette County Agricultural Center
Board Members Present: Walt Brudnowski, John Cotter, Doug Griesbach, Mike Jacobi, Ron Sabel, Lee Vaughan, and Al Rosenthal
Also Present: Pat Kilbey and Chris Hamerla
Ron Sabel called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m. and asked that the following items be added to the agenda:
1. Contribution to Marquette County for a lab top for AIS Coordinator
2. Change signatures on the 1st National Bank checking account
Motion was made by Ron Sabel and seconded by Mike Jacobi Approved
Minutes of the April 4, 2013 were read and approved by a motion by Mike Jacobi and a second by John Cotter. Approved
The treasurers report was presented by Lee Vaughan, which showed expenses of $101.90 and no new income, leaving a check book balance of $2159.45. Membership shows 18 lakes have paid there 2013 dues. Six lakes will be contacted, Lake Mason, Montello P&R, White Lake, Sandy Lake, Lawrence Lake and Oxford Conservation club.
The report was approved by a motion by Walt Brudnowski and seconded by Mike Jacobi. Approved
Golden Sands RC& D Council..John Cotter reported no meeting has been held since last meeting.
Central Sands Water Action Coalition..Mike Jacobi reported that meeting has been held since last meeting.
Pat Kilbey’s report:
1. Water level wells at Kilby, Wood and School Section need to be completed. A group of volunteers along with Pat will meet on June 25th at 10:00 a.m. at John Cotter’s place on County B
2. Stream Monitoring. All of the streams will be in the NW Corner of the County. 8 creeks will by monitored. A training sessions will be held on June 26th or 27th. Doug, Mike, John and Walt have volunteered for the training and to assist with the monitoring. Lee and Ron will be back-up volunteers.
3. Lab Top
A motion was made by Al and seconded by Lee to donate $410.00 to Marquette County for the County’s share of the lab top used by the AIS coordinator. Motion was approved.
The cost of the computer will be shared with Green Lake County.
Wisconsin Lakes report was given by Al. Next year’s convention will be held in Stevens Point and will be on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Al reported the Board is working on a short and long range plan for growth and stability. Board members suggested the convention in 2015 be two days, and more work shops and less main speakers.
Fall Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 6:30 p.m.
The program will consist of Chris Hamerla, AIS Coordinator, Pat Kilbey on lake and stream monitoring, Clean Boat and Clean Water program and a round table open session.
Lori Killian will be contacted to find out if a Boat Safety Class will be held in July.
Doug and Lee said they would help.

A motion was made by Ron Sabel and Seconded by Mike Jacobi to replace Ron Sabel on the “Organization Account Designation” card with Allen Rosenthal, along with Lee Vaughan
